Rannoch 25 (built for a solo or a double). The boats are as beautiful as Rannoch Moor and loch, which certainly Charlie saw in the design and naming having been a wee boy at school there.
It is hard to imagine this little boat (approx. 25-feet in length and 4-ft at it’s widest) will carry me and all my electronic equipment, food, water maker, life raft, buckets (for the toilet …) etc. and hopes all the way to Antigua.
My boat will be finished shortly and I am looking forward to getting out on the water to practise for my solo expedition across the Atlantic. My aim is to row in a kilt so I may not look like a mad giraffe but certainly will fit the profile of the ‘mad Scotsman’.
Thanks to Rannoch for building my boat. I am in good hands with these guys and Charlie and Angus’ and the small team of experts behind the scenes. The support has been invaluable thus far: https://www.rannochadventure.com/
They have both have years of experience and both have held records for crossing the Atlantic. The design is unique and most records broken are usually done in a Rannoch Boat.
